Bruno Vepkhvadze, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a fourth-generation artist in the Vepkhvadze family, carrying forward a rich legacy of artistic talent. Inspired by his father, Giovanni Vepkhvadze, and surrounded by a family deeply rooted in the arts, Bruno showed an early inclination toward painting, leading him to attend art school during his childhood. After completing high school in 2003, he further honed his skills at the Y. Nikoladze Tbilisi Art School, and soon began exhibiting alongside professional artists. From 2005 to 2009, Bruno pursued advanced studies at the Academy of Fine Art in Tbilisi, becoming a member of the Union of Artists of Georgia in 2006.
Bruno Vepkhvadze is a contemporary Georgian artist whose work combines realism with a reverence for historical and cultural symbolism. His meticulously detailed still-life compositions feature objects like ripe fruits, antique books, and classical artifacts, rendered with sharp lines and a harmonious palette of warm and cool tones. Vepkhvadze’s use of chiaroscuro adds depth and drama, while his balanced compositions evoke a sense of calm and introspection. Rooted in classical European traditions yet polished with a modern touch, his art invites viewers to reflect on the endurance of cultural heritage and knowledge, blending technical mastery with a timeless narrative appeal.
