Sandro Gvinashvili, born on January 21, 1996, began painting at an early age. His passion for art deepened when, at the age of 11, he made the decision to pursue it seriously. In 2014, he graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, where he studied cinema and television scenography. During his time as a student, Sandro collaborated with the Tbilisi Opera Theatre, where he served as the main assistant to the scenographer for the production of Carmen.
Following his academic achievements, Gvinashvili embarked on an independent artistic journey. He established his own private studio, where he explores the realms of painting, graphics, and sculpture. His work reflects a unique fusion of visual arts, combining various forms and techniques to create pieces that resonate with contemporary art while still honoring classical traditions.
Sandro Gvinashvili, a contemporary Georgian artist, creates dynamic works that blend abstraction with surrealism, drawing viewers into a cosmic, introspective journey. His art is characterized by swirling lines, vibrant colors, and textured surfaces that evoke movement and energy. Using mixed media, Gvinashvili combines organic and fragmented shapes, often incorporating mythical and celestial symbols. His work explores themes of spirituality, human consciousness, and the interconnectedness of life, with frequent depictions of abstracted human figures and animals. Through this fusion of the mystical and earthly, Gvinashvili’s art resonates deeply, offering both emotional intensity and contemplative depth.
